This weekend, the San Antonio Spurs will play against the Dallas Mavericks. This year both teams are enjoying loads of success. The Spurs have amazed everyone with their 12-1 start to the season, indeed. In spite of a lack of production from Tim Duncan this success has come.
The team has been moving the ball around exceptionally although Duncan has not been playing at the highest level of his career. For each Game average in the league the Spurs have the 3rd highest Assists. To score 107.6 points for every game this ball movement has helped them. In the NBA this is the second highest total and this makes them favorites in basketball betting odds.
The Mavericks have been playing solid defense to stay in games despite the fact that the Spurs have been outscoring their opponents. On the season, the Mavericks have allowed just 92.3 points for each game. A team that had a solid offense lacking much defense what the Mavericks were always known as. Formally a defensive team the Spurs were, that would outmuscle the Mavericks. Which could turn the tables is the emergence of Mavericks’ defense.
Although they require production from more of their players the Mavericks are solid. After they were brought in to boost the team last year, Butler and Haywood have struggled this season. They have plenty to offer to the Mavericks as these players are talented. To the play of Tony Parker this game may come down and he gets the Spurs rolling. They may be capable to upset the offense of the Spurs if the Mavericks can hold Parker.
